“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
Travelling and discovering places are one of the best ways to unwind and take a break from routine. We at AddWeb knows best how to balance work and life, frequent parties and fun sessions are testament to that fact. But this time we wanted to do something different, something big, something memorable. After a grueling discussion and convincing, we came to a conclusion “A Trip to Udaipur”. Excitement was palpable, even before a week. Let’s fast forward to the fun weekend now.
People started pinging each other at 4:30 in the morning, can you believe that? On Saturday? It goes on to show the prevailing excitement of the trip. 25 people 1 bus, and it all began at 7:00AM. Despite the drowsiness in the morning, no one was in the mood to doze off. Travelling in the bus is so much fun when it’s complimented by a little mischief from everyone. Playing games, singing songs, and a little monkey business were all part of the journey. After taking a small halt for breakfast we reached Udaipur at 1:00 PM.
After checking in at a beautiful “Devendragarh Resort”, everyone started showing off their selfie and photography skills, after finishing that we moved on to the in house vintage car collection of the resort. Who doesn’t love vintage cars? Again needless to say that photography session followed here. Resort had an eye-popping lake front view which seemed so serene and peaceful, something which we can keep staring for days to end. And then it hit us! We were yet to take the lunch, hence we decided to take a quick bite. After quickly finishing it and taking a little rest we all rushed to the pool! In the heat of a summer, pleasure and satisfaction of the pool games is second to none. Everyone enjoyed it to the fullest, for 2 hours straight! Then in the early evening some decided to play cricket in the garden, some chose the adventure of boating and some just decided to chill by the lake. But hey, guess what? Party had just begun! Later in the evening we did have some fun with the DJ, everyone was so excited, despite having a rather tiresome day until now, no one was in the mood to call it off! We danced to the tunes of a DJ till our legs went numb, and of course Garba, how can we miss that? Being a Gujarati, we can have garba with virtually any song! It was indeed so much fun! Everyone got hungry after this pretty energetic session, and we all rushed to have a delicious dinner! Day 1 ended on a superb note!
Recharging after a good night’s sleep, everyone was all geared up for Day 2. We decided to take a little tour of the city. Visited “City Palace”. It was built over a period of nearly 400 years being contributed by several kings of the dynasty. The City Palace in Udaipur was built in a flamboyant style and is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan, a fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, and was built on a hill top that gives a panoramic view of the city. It was a very pleasant experience. This was followed by some shopping at a popular ‘Bazzar’ of the city.
Team AddWeb started marching towards Ahmedabad at 2:00 PM. We reached Ahmedabad at 8:30, with heavy hearts we started moving towards our respective homes, everyone was hit by an ambiguous feeling, happy because we got to experience this amazing 2 days, sad, because it seemed like they finished in a blink of an eye. It was refreshing and rejuvenating. We thank Mr. Rajiv Agarwal for organizing this fantastic trip for team AddWeb. Thank you so much, It’s hard to come across such a happy-go-lucky person and not everyone has the fortune to have someone like him in their team.
“The strength of the team is each member. The strength of each member is the team”.
Trip allowed us to bond with each other on a higher level, it brought us closer as a family. We now know each other better, can work with a greater harmony and higher productivity. Team is only as strong as its weakest link, when everyone shares the same frequency, there’s no such thing as a weak link. Such incidents help everyone remove the barriers with each other, if they have any; and helps newbies to break the ice and open up. It has created a new milestone in the journey of Team AddWeb and we only look forward to many more in future. Goodbye for now, stay in touch to know more about wonderful journey.
