The 4.9.8 version of WordPress is now out with its maintenance release. This particular release comes with about 46 bugs fixed, a few enhancements and blessed tasks. It has also taken care and updated the Twenty Seventh bundled theme.

‘Try Gutenberg’ feature where the admin user is notified to try this upcoming block editor even before it’s release in WordPress version 5.0.
An Admin user can use the ‘Gutenburg’ this block editor on single site and a Super Admin user can use it on multiple sites.
About 18 Privacy related fixes have been made which revolves around strengthening the consistency and flexibility in the new personal data tools. Let us talk about some of these fixes:
The inclusion of the request type that is confirmed in the subject line for all privacy confirmation emails.
Elevated consistency with the name of the site that is being used for privacy emails in multisite.
