Why AddWeb for Drupal maintenance
An Authority Floor Most Maintenance Providers Cannot Match.
Drupal maintenance is a higher-stakes category than WordPress or generic web maintenance most production Drupal sites sit in government, education, healthcare, or large enterprise where the failure modes are compliance violations and public incidents, not just lost revenue. Here is what is different about us.
Verified
Acquia Partner
Acquia is the enterprise Drupal company founded by Drupal creator Dries Buytaert, and the primary commercial sponsor of Drupal core development. Their partner program verifies agencies that demonstrate engineering depth on Drupal. Working with an Acquia partner matters for maintenance because vendor-aligned engineering accelerates incident response and reduces escalation friction on Acquia Cloud, Drupal Cloud Site Factory, and enterprise distributions.
Operated AI Stack
AI-Driven Drupal Monitoring
We apply the AI engineering stack that powers our products (AddWeb AI, WeWP, EcomSupport360) to Drupal-specific signals: drupal.org security advisory tracking, module compatibility prediction, render and database regression detection, behavioral threat patterns. The intelligence layer is operated by our engineering team, not a third-party plugin we resell.
15+ Drupal Engineers
Senior Drupal Backbench
15+ certified Drupal engineers sit within a 160+ engineer organization. Routine maintenance (updates, backups, monitoring) handled by our dedicated Drupal pod. Complex escalations multi-site issues, custom module forensics, headless Drupal stacks, performance debugging on Drupal Cloud go to senior Drupal engineers. Same building, same NDAs, no outsourcing.
ISO 27001
Compliance-Grade Information Security
Every Drupal engagement runs under our ISO 27001-certified information security management system, paired with ISO 9001 quality processes. All engineers operate under NDAs. Backups encrypted in transit and at rest. Access controls audited. This is the procedural floor that matters when your Drupal site is processing PII, student records, or healthcare data.
Drupal 7 reached end-of-life
Still on Drupal 7? Your Risk Profile Changed in January 2025.
Drupal 7 reached official end-of-life on January 5, 2025. Core security patches are no longer issued by the Drupal Security Team. Hundreds of thousands of Drupal 7 sites continue operating many of them in government, education, and enterprise environments where migration windows are constrained by procurement, budget, and political cycles.
What changed for Drupal 7 sites:
Two paths forward
Extended security maintenance we patch and monitor your Drupal 7 site while migration is planned. Buys a defensible 12-24 month window.
Migration to Drupal 10 or 11 we scope, plan, and execute the migration with content fidelity, URL preservation, and parallel-run validation. Most projects 8-20 weeks depending on size.
Maintenance plans
Three Plans. Transparent Pricing. No Hidden Scope.
Pick the plan that fits your Drupal version, traffic, criticality, and compliance posture. Annual payment saves 10% on Silver and 15% on Gold. Free setup included on Silver and Gold. Custom enterprise scopes (multi-site estates, headless stacks, government/healthcare compliance work) quoted after Discovery.

What we maintain
Twelve Things We Keep Watching So You Do Not Have To.
Every plan covers the basics; higher tiers tighten cadence and broaden scope. Below is the full set across all three tiers.
Core & Contrib Updates
Drupal core, contrib modules, custom modules, and themes updated on the cadence your plan dictates with staging validation before production for Silver and Gold.
Backups & Recovery
Automated backups of files and database. Gold tier ships to encrypted offsite storage with real-time replication for fast disaster recovery.
Security Monitoring
drupal.org Security Advisory tracking, file integrity checks, behavioral analysis, and (on Gold) real-time firewall protection against known and emerging threats.
Performance Optimization
Caching configuration, render performance tuning, image optimization, code review, and database query tuning across cron, Views, and entity queries.
Uptime Monitoring
Continuous monitoring with Gold tier alerts firing within seconds of an outage event escalating to our on-call rotation across India and US time zones.
Database Optimization
Removes orphaned data, rebuilds indexes, optimizes node_revision and cache tables, and prunes watchdog and queue records to keep queries fast.
Accessibility Compliance
Monthly WCAG 2.2 AA audits and Section 508 conformance checks on Gold. Remediation work in scope. Quarterly compliance briefings for clients with formal review cycles.
SSL & Domain Health
SSL certificate monitoring, DNS health, redirect validation, and HTTPS migration support preventing the small problems that become big problems.
Monthly Reporting
Plain-language reports covering updates applied, security events, uptime percentage, performance scores, accessibility status, and backup status.
Module Vulnerability Watch
Continuous tracking of CVEs and drupal.org SAs across all installed contrib modules flagging vulnerabilities before they appear in attack scanners.
Incident Response
If something goes wrong site down, hack, module conflict, multi-site corruption our team is on it within your plan’s SLA window. No upcharges for emergency work within scope.
Content & Configuration Support
Routine content edits, image updates, View tweaks, and small configuration changes included on Silver and Gold (within fair-use thresholds see scope details in Discovery).
The AI moat
How AddWeb’s AI Engineering Powers Drupal Monitoring.
We operate four AI products in production. The same engineering team and the same ML infrastructure that powers those products informs how we monitor Drupal maintenance clients regardless of which host or stack they run.
One AI Stack. Four Operated Products. Applied to Drupal.
Our AI products AddWeb AI (business workflows), WeWP (AI WordPress hosting), EcomSupport360 (eCommerce automation), and La Liga Score Predictor (open ML lab) are real production systems, not capabilities-as-claims. The same engineering team builds and operates the monitoring intelligence we apply to your Drupal stack.
drupal.org SA Tracking
Machine learning models continuously parse drupal.org Security Advisories, mapping them to your specific contrib module inventory and flagging exposure before public exploit windows open.
Module Compatibility Prediction
Compatibility database tracks contrib module interactions across thousands of Drupal sites predicting conflicts before an update breaks something on your stack.
Performance Regression Detection
Cron, render, and entity query performance tracked over time. Alerts fire when a recent change regresses performance below your baseline.
Behavioral Threat Recognition
AI-driven analysis of access logs, configuration changes, and request patterns identifies slow-burn attacks that signature-based tools miss.
Honest comparison
Four Ways to Handle Drupal Maintenance. Pick the One That Fits.
Drupal maintenance comes in four broad shapes. Each has a real use case. We are not the right answer for every site below is how to think about it. We have deliberately avoided naming specific competitor providers because their pricing and scope change frequently; the categorical framing below describes the model rather than the brand.

“AddWeb Solution has helped us upgrade, implement missing parts and deploy our site to DO. They also optimized it for performance which was tested IRL when Wilhelm Foundation was awarded Swedish Care Heroes and the amount of concurrent users coming from national television was huge. The site handled the load extremely well and we were very pleased. Thank you AddWeb Solution for the work you put in to our website.”
Mikk Cederroth, Founder, Wilhelm Foundation
“CBE International engaged with AddWeb Solution to produce a website in Drupal from a set of designs and mock-ups from its design team. The agency did an excellent job, provided alternate solutions to challenges, and were highly flexible and understanding of CBE International’s requirements and change orders. The client will definitely continue working with AddWeb Solution in the future.”

How we work
Six Commitments That Define How We Work.
The same six principles every AddWeb engagement runs on engineering, AI, or maintenance.
Audit and baseline before action. We learn your Drupal stack before changing anything. Discovery is mandatory.
Pipeline-impacting metrics only. Uptime, page-load, security events, accessibility scores, backup integrity. No vanity reporting.
Dedicated Drupal pod, same humans across the engagement. Context never resets.
Acquia partner. ISO 9001 + 27001. 4.9 Clutch from 74 verified reviews. Authority you can audit.
Monthly reports with full work log. Quarterly reviews with honest assessment. No hiding behind dashboards.
AI-driven monitoring. Drupal 11 ready. Headless Drupal support. The maintenance stack you sign up for today is the floor, not the ceiling.
Built into your Drupal stack
Everything Your Drupal Engagement Connects To.

FAQ
Drupal Maintenance FAQ.
Four differences. First, we are an Acquia partner — the enterprise Drupal credential held by a small number of agencies. Second, we operate an AI-driven monitoring stack built by the same engineering team that ships our AI products (AddWeb AI, WeWP, EcomSupport360) — not a third-party plugin we resell. Third, 15+ certified Drupal engineers within a 160+ engineer backbench means complex escalations on module conflicts, custom theme bugs, multi-site issues, and headless Drupal stacks go to senior Drupal engineers. Fourth, we are ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified, which matters for the government, education, and healthcare sites where Drupal is most often deployed.
Yes. Drupal 7 reached end-of-life on January 5, 2025. Core security patches are no longer issued by the Drupal Security Team. We offer extended security maintenance for Drupal 7 sites that cannot migrate immediately, AND we run Drupal 7 to Drupal 10/11 migration projects. If you are still on Drupal 7, the right next step is a Discovery call to assess your migration window — running an unsupported version is a documented compliance and insurance risk for most organizations.
Drupal 7 (extended support), Drupal 8 (note: Drupal 8 also reached EOL in November 2021 — we recommend migration), Drupal 9, Drupal 10, and Drupal 11. Most of our active maintenance clients are on Drupal 10. We also maintain Drupal-based decoupled and headless stacks (Drupal + React/Next.js, Drupal + GraphQL/JSON:API). The plan tier you need depends on traffic, criticality, and stack complexity rather than version number alone.
We apply our AI engineering stack — the same one we built for our AI products — to Drupal-specific signals. ML models track Drupal security advisories from drupal.org, predict module compatibility issues before updates break things, detect performance regressions across cron, render, and database layers, and flag anomalous access patterns indicative of slow-burn attacks. The intelligence layer is operated by our engineering team, not a third-party plugin we resell.
Acquia is the enterprise Drupal company — founded by Drupal creator Dries Buytaert, the primary commercial sponsor of Drupal’s development. Their partner program verifies agencies that demonstrate engineering depth on Drupal. Working with an Acquia partner matters for maintenance because production-grade Drupal sites typically use Acquia Cloud, Drupal Cloud Site Factory, or enterprise distributions where vendor-aligned engineering accelerates incident response and reduces escalation friction.
Three published monthly plans: Bronze $149/mo, Silver $399/mo, Gold $999/mo. Annual payment saves 10% on Silver and 15% on Gold. Free setup included on Silver and Gold — that is a one-time onboarding worth around $750-$2,000 covering site audit, monitoring tool configuration, security baseline, backup setup, performance baseline, and accessibility scan. Bronze has a standard $149 setup fee. Custom enterprise scopes (multi-site Drupal estates, headless Drupal stacks, government/healthcare compliance work) are quoted after Discovery.
Bronze: email support with a 48-hour SLA. Silver: email and chat with a 24-hour SLA. Gold: phone and priority support with a 6-hour SLA. The SLA is measured from when you open a ticket to when our team starts work. For Gold-tier enterprise clients with truly mission-critical sites, we offer custom incident-response SLAs as part of the engagement contract.
Yes. Gold-tier maintenance includes monthly accessibility audits against WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 standards, with remediation work in scope. This matters for government, education, and healthcare Drupal sites where accessibility is a compliance requirement, not a nice-to-have. We can also build custom accessibility reporting cadences for clients with formal compliance review cycles.
Yes. Drupal multi-site (single codebase, multiple sites) and Drupal Site Factory installations are both within Gold-tier scope. Pricing depends on the number of sites and shared module surface — typically quoted after a Discovery audit of the existing setup. Most of our enterprise Drupal clients run between 3 and 50+ sites on a shared codebase.
We offer one-time engagements separately — a Drupal Discovery audit ($2,000-$5,000 depending on site complexity, multi-site scope, and Drupal version) that delivers a written report with findings, prioritized fixes, security advisories outstanding, performance baselines, and effort estimates. We do not require an ongoing maintenance contract for this work. If you move to a monthly plan after the audit, the audit fee is credited against the first three months of Silver or Gold.
Monthly plans: cancel any time with 30 days notice — we keep monitoring active during the notice period and hand over all backups, monitoring credentials, and documentation at end of term. Annual plans: 60 days notice and the unused portion is refunded prorated. No long-term lock-in, no exit fees.
AddWeb’s dedicated Drupal maintenance pod handles routine work — updates, backups, monitoring, security scans. Senior Drupal engineers from the broader 160+ engineer team handle escalations and complex fixes (custom modules, multi-site issues, performance forensics, security incidents). Site work is never outsourced. All engineers operate under NDAs and our ISO 27001 information security framework.
Monthly report by email. Bronze: summary of updates and security checks performed. Silver: detailed breakdown of updates, security events, performance work, and accessibility checks. Gold: custom report with insights, recommendations, forward action plan, and a quarterly executive briefing for compliance and stakeholder review. All reports include uptime percentage, backup status, drupal.org SA log, and performance scores.
