We have created and built a full WooCommerce subscription platform on Affinity VIP Wellness to have the full white-label telehealth service provided by MD Integrations. Integrating subscription management, medical intake forms, physician consultations, prescription fulfillment, and secure patient portals, we have provided a modern, HIPAA compliant wellness platform that could serve as both Ecommerce hub and full telemedicine solution to weight loss and wellness programs in general.
The Business Needs
Understanding the Challenge of Limited Telemedicine Subscription Options
There was a major vacuum in the telemedicine market; there were hardly any all-in solutions that are able to integrate subscription business with fully white-label telehealth services. Healthcare providers who desired to provide subscription-based wellness programs had difficulty with discontinuous systems that needed various platforms, workflow disconnection and technical integrations.
Amply saw this as a chance to provide a one-stop-shop where the patient will be in a position to subscribe to any wellness program and at the same time, undergo medical intake, consult with physicians, obtain prescription and have all their health needs handled in a single platform. It was the difficulty of developing a solution that could conform to the healthcare standards of compliance combined with the consumer grade user experience.
The company needed a platform that would be able to start fast with Weight Loss services and at the same time would be architecture built to add more wellness programs with ease. The telehealth services required an integration with MD Integrations (MDI) so as to keep the commerce layer as WooCommerce whereas MDI did all the medical-related aspects in the background.

Our Approach
Building a compliant, scalable telemedicine subscription ecosystem
Our strategy was a two-platform approach that used WooCommerce to deliver subscription management and commerce with MD Integrations to provide all telehealth functionality. The project was initiated by thorough requirement analysis on the areas of healthcare compliance, workflow, and physician administration requirements.
Since the dawn of our architecture, we have focused on security and HIPAA compliance to make sure that the patient data is protected and that the communications are secured and that access control is in place to prevent unauthorized access in the platform. We have built custom user dashboards that will enable patients to manage subscriptions, make appointments, interact with doctors, fill intake forms, and view medical records.
The development plan employed Bricks Builder to WordPress to build a mobile-first interface that is modern, and that the interface seems like a dedicated health app, not a conventional website. One-to-one integrations between WooCommerce and MD Integrations were well-crafted to ensure that the data is synchronized, yet healthcare privacy limits are not violated.
We used Stripe to apply recurring billing that was PCI compliant and facilitated easy payment of subscription renewals. The modularity was designed throughout the entire platform, and it is not difficult to introduce new wellness programs, service levels, and capabilities as the business expands.
